Exhibition Installer
Due to the continuing success and growth of MODEX, we are delighted to be looking for an experienced, driven and passionate Exhibition Installer to deliver successful, high end, custom exhibition experiences
About the role
The role of the Exhibition Installer is to ensure the delivery of all client projects are completed to the client’s design and specification, and on schedule
You will need to be a problem solver, good with your hands and the ability to handle whatever is thrown at you with the all-important ‘can do’ attitude
About you
- Attention to detail and time keeping are critical for this role
- This is a challenging role that needs someone with a can-do attitude and ability to work on your own at events for setup and derig of kit
- A practical attitude and experience in being able to complete event set ups on site,
- A full Driving licence
- This is not a normal 9-5, so flexibility is a must
Your role and your responsibilities
- Support and work closely with the Director of Operations and Operations Manager to forward plan and manage timings and team movement
- To support and liaise with the team to ensure they understand the requirements for each job, where they need to be and what they need to do onsite
- Support the Warehouse team with picking and packing jobs
- Support the Warehouse team with loading and unloading of jobs
- Support the Warehouse and Goods in Goods Out to keep a tidy and functional warehouse
- To check through ‘picked and packed’ jobs to ensure all items of a job are present before going onsite
- To review the job packs before going onsite and discuss anything unusual with the Project Manager and design team
- To load vehicles in a safe manner to ensure equipment is well fastened and cannot move around damaging people, equipment or the vehicles
- To drive to and from jobs with the required equipment using vehicles
- To ensure vehicles are left clean and tidy for the next use, ensuring where time allows equipment is unloaded back into the warehouse
- To construct installations to the agreed client specification and to the highest standards
- To ensure installation finishing takes place on all installations, this can mean hoovering, steaming fabrics, cable management, flooring, trim etc.
- Adhere to the Organisers and Venues H&S regulations when loading and unloading equipment and building installations
- Where a Project Manager isn’t present ‘signing off’ of stands with the client and therefore must be presentable and have a good manor/rapport with client
- To safely manage the de-rig of installations looking out for the entire I&D de-rig team, which can often be rather hectic due to the short time allowed and the number of other contractors who are onsite at the same time
